Our Mental Health Treatment Programs
There is no one-size-fits-all mental health treatment plan, which is why our team at Attain Behavioral Health will work closely with you to create an individualized approach that’s centered around your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Your treatment plan will depend on your mental health challenges, your background, and the severity of your mental health condition. Some of the conditions Attain can treat include:
While anxiety is a normal emotion, it can become overwhelming and interfere with daily life when it’s experienced in excess or out of proportion to a situation. Symptoms like restlessness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating can be managed with mental health treatment. Treatment for anxiety can include cognitive-behavioral therapy, stress management techniques, and medication.
Depression is a mental health condition that affects how you think and feel, causing symptoms like persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities that used to bring pleasure, low energy, and difficulty concentrating. Different types of depression include:
- Postpartum depression – This type of depression can occur after childbirth and typically includes intense fatigue, difficulty bonding with the baby, irritability, and changes in appetite.
- Major depressive disorder – This type of depression is a recurring mental health condition that affects an individual’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
- Seasonal affective disorder – This type of depression is triggered by the changing seasons, usually occurring during winter. Symptoms include oversleeping, overeating, and feelings of low energy.
Treatment for depression, much like anxiety, can include a range of therapies as well as medication.
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition marked by extreme changes in mood. People with bipolar disorder experience both depressive and manic episodes. Manic episodes can cause feelings of euphoria, impulsiveness, and erratic behavior.
Treatment for bipolar disorder typically consists of mood-stabilizing medications as well as therapy, both individual and family.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
PTSD can be brought on by a traumatic event, such as a car accident or a natural disaster. Symptoms include intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, nightmares, and difficulty sleeping.
Treatments for PTSD can include cognitive-behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), stress management techniques, and medications.
This is not an exhaustive list, as trauma-informed treatment plans can also be tailored to help with schizoaffective disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, paranoid personality disorder, and more.
